White Tuxedo Productions just wrapped up RENT and is now busy as ever producing events for Charleston Wine + Food and working with many a bride. Lawson's next theater production is in the works. We are working on a workshop project for area high school students giving them the opportunity to work with New York theater actors to learn every thing about the theater. This idea was born after attending a two and half hour day trip with the cast of RENT to the Charleston School of the Arts... The students had so many questions about getting started in theater and enjoyed the opportunity to meet the actors. The students wrote hundreds of letters to the cast and it just makes sense to offer a workshop and to produce a show that many of the high school students can then participate as actors, dancers, set and costume designers... Much more exciting news to come as we continue to plan. We are developing a great workshop and program that will certainly enhance the performing arts in Charleston.
"White Tuxedo Productions believes that the arts are one of humanity's most eloquent means of understanding the world. As such, the arts are an essential component of a complete education." = Lawson Roberts
